NCUGRHA is a center that researches, preserves and interprets the history of the Underground Railroad, slavery and abolition in upstate New York.
NCUGRHA is working on a documentary film narrative that traces generations of families in the Peru, NY area in relation to abolition, slavery, and the underground railroad. Prof. Sarah Friedland will teach a Spring 2024 class around underground railroad history, the work of NCUGRHA, and students will film a trailer for the project.
