Directed by Jesse O'Connell and staffed by a  selected team of students with key media competencies and specialties, DOCLab emphasizes learning to use cutting-edge media, storytelling, and documentary tools in a collaborative, peer supported, hands-on and project-based environment.

We invite all members of the Skidmore community to stop by and develop their storytelling tools here. Through staffed lab hours and private consultations you can learn a new software, brush up on preexisting skills or get feedback on work already under way. We also partner one-on-one with Skidmore faculty to embed media-rich experiences and assignments into their courses and scholarship to encourage the transformation of content from across the disciplines into compelling and creative stories.
