This year, for the first time, MDOCS Forum has partnered with international co-presenters in Africa, Asia, and Latin America. Each partner has curated an event for the MDOCS Forum Playlist and will convene their own local group of participants to take part in the events of Forum weekend. Expanding to a global conversation is particularly resonant this year, with the mutual experience of the pandemic making the world\u2019s interconnections and divisions all the more apparent. DocA- Documentary Africa<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

DocA is a unique Pan-African initiative that aims to cultivate and nourish a self-sustaining documentary film ecosystem in Africa. We aim at supporting the African documentary film industry through interconnected initiatives in storytelling development and content creation, knowledge-building and sharing, distribution, and audience building. Our focus is to enable African documentary film makers tell African narratives through the African lens, so that we can consolidate diverse African perspectives that can confront dominant and inaccurate narratives about the African continent.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

 <\/strong>EICTV- The International School of Film and Television<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

EICTV is considered one of the most important audiovisual training institutions in the world. It was created by the Committee of Latin American Filmmakers, as a subsidiary of the Foundation for New Latin American Cinema and with the support of the government of the Republic of Cuba. It opened on December 15, 1986. Originally conceived for students from Latin America, Africa and Asia,  EICTV put into practice the teaching philosophy of “learning by doing”, with teachers who are active filmmakers and pass on their knowledge backed by exercise and experience. At present, its registration is open to those interested in audiovisual from all over the world. Thousands of professionals and students from more than 50 countries have passed through its classrooms, which has made it a space for cultural diversity.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

The Dar al-Kalima University College of Arts and Culture<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Dar al-Kalima\u2019s mission is to provide high quality educational opportunities in the undergraduate and diploma programs available to students from all sectors of Palestinian society. The Dar al-Kalima was established in 2006 with the Documentary Film Program and the Ceramic and Glass Art Program. At that point, the college had just 22 students. Today, the University College has nine accredited majors. The Dar al-Kalima University College of Arts and Culture is the first institution of higher education in Palestine to focus its educational objectives on the performing arts, visual arts, and cultural heritage. The University\u2019s founders believe in the importance of the arts in raising the level of cultural and societal awareness and in the development of a vibrant and active civil society.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

China Residencies’ non-for-profit mission is to: Map, research, and create a free online directory of opportunities in mainland China & Hong Kong for creative people from all over the world. Fund excellent creative people and projects through residencies and nurture the next generation of organizers and administrators through fiscal sponsorship. Support and advise existing and envisioned residency programs across the region to foster sustainable creative exchange. We believe diplomacy shouldn\u2019t just be left up to politicians. Artists are cultural and social changemakers, and, in a world where people sometimes forget to listen to and learn from one another, we are passionate about creating opportunities for artists to bring a broader cultural understanding into their work and communities.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
